Spring Grove Cemetery , Cincinnati City in Ohio ,USA

Spring Grove Cemetery (approximately 300 hectares) is a non-profit regional cemetery and arboretum located at 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, in the southern United States. It is the third largest cemetery in the United States after Calverton National Cemetery and Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery and is considered an American Historic Landmark. The history of the cemetery dates back to the first half of the 19th century, when members of the Cincinnati Horticultural Society formed an association of cemeteries. They took inspiration from modern rural cemeteries such as the Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris and the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Numerous sources suggest the name "Spring Grove" around December 1, 1844. Salmon P. Chase and others prepared the company's charter. The cemetery was officially designed by Howard Daniels on January 21, 1845. The first burial took place after World War II.
